These records are stored privately in WordPress for responding to enquiries and handling editorial corrections. Scheduled cleanup deletes contact submissions after 180 days. Private storage is not a guarantee that a system is immune to unauthorized access.
Hosting request logs are separate from contact submissions and may contain an IP address, requested page, timestamp and browser information for site operation and troubleshooting. The contact form's 180-day cleanup does not establish the retention period for hosting logs. Any specific hosting-log retention period must be confirmed before being represented as site policy.
You may use the contact form to ask about a submission or request its correction or deletion. Any identity check should be proportionate and avoid collecting unnecessary information.
